VIERNES is a course for learning to speak English. To teach you, we need to hear you. Here is, plainly, what we keep and what we don't.
Your voice
When you repeat a sentence, your microphone records a few seconds of audio. That clip is sent to Microsoft Azure Speech (in the United States), which turns it into text so we can tell you which word came out right and which didn't.
We do not store the audio. It is used to judge that one sentence and then discarded; what remains is the result (which sentence you practiced and whether you got it), which is what makes review possible.
The microphone only turns on while you hold down the speak button. It never listens in the background.
Your progress
We store which sentences you've practiced, how many times, and when they're due for review, along with your streak and your minutes spoken. Without that, the course wouldn't know where you are.
If you create an account, we store your email to recognize you. Nothing else: we don't ask for your address, phone number, or date of birth.
What we do NOT do
We don't sell your data. We don't hand it to advertisers.
We don't publish anything of yours anywhere.
We don't use your recordings to train artificial intelligence models.
Who else sees anything
Only the services the class needs to run: Microsoft Azure (turns your voice into text), Supabase (stores your account if you register), and Vercel and Hostinger (serve this site and the app). Each one receives the minimum needed to do its job.
How we measure visits
On this site we use Vercel Analytics to know how many people arrive and where from. It sets no cookies and doesn't follow you across other sites: it counts page views, not people.
That's why this page doesn't ask you to accept anything — there's nothing to accept. Inside the app there is no measurement of this kind at all.
Minors
VIERNES is intended for adults. If someone under 13 uses the app, they should do so with a parent or guardian, and those adults can ask us to delete everything by writing to us.
Deleting your data
Write to us at contact@solutiononepro.com from your own email and we'll delete your account and your progress. No forms, no questions: it takes up to 30 days and we confirm when it's done.
